Catch the Wave!
On Thursday, June 21, after two very exciting weeks Youth Camp 2007 came
to a close. During the course of the two week camp, we were blessed to
have 130+ campers. Most importantly we were blessed to see 17 precious
souls saved, 37 rededications, and numerous other decisions for the honor
and glory of God. It was a wonderful blessing as well to see the many,
many, workers, who over the years had given their lives to the Lord at
Camp Eagle and were now serving as counselors, or just helping out in
anyway they could. Proverbs 22:6 certainly came to mind where we read,
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not
depart from it.
During Teen Week we were blessed to have with us Brother Joe Tolbert from
Little Rock, Arkansas; and during Junior Week we heard great preaching
from our very own Brother Jayson Keefer. The days were filled with a
variety of activities ranging from crafts to water sports; and let's not
forget the ever popular "Canteen Time". A special thanks goes out to the
kitchen staff for keeping us all well fed, to the members of the Central
Florida Youth Board, and to all of the staff at Camp Eagle for a year we
will never forget.
The Youth Board would like to say a huge word of thanks to the many
churches and individuals around the state that support this blessed
ministry. Through the donations that were made over the past year they
were able to install a new septic system; a new fire alarm system (as
required by the state); and new air-conditioners in the kitchen. God has
richly blessed, and once again we just want to say, Thanks !
It is always a bit sad to watch the last car drive off the property, but
2008 will be here before you know it, and there is still much work to be
